And now we're just showing off...
One of the ladies in line came up to me afterwards and handed me her Starbucks card and said, “I think there’s a couple of bucks left… put it towards your coffee.” I got all confused when I paid for a venti caramel machiatto and there was still money on the card left over.
Merry Christmas, errybody. I have a giant coffee and a huge smile on my face.
The honour system
I just found a freshly dropped $20 bill on the ground at Starbucks and had to go through four very honest people before it was reunited with its very surprised and pleased owner.
Not bad, Canada. Not bad.
Ed note: And the lady in front of me just gave me her gift card so I could get a free venti caramel macchiatto. Jeez people. Now you’re just showing off.

Amsterdam Acoustic Series:
It Don’t Move Me - Peter Bjorn and John
I can’t stop watching this. It’s just that good. Also, I’m in a mood and it’s working for me.
Amsterdam Acoustic series:
The XX - Crystalised
I love the Amsterdam Acoustics series… well… for many reasons. But this The XX one is my very favourite one. Amsterdam plays one hell of a backdrop. Sigh.

Mixtape for My Imaginary Girlfriend
glueslabs:
Click through or go here to listen.
Can someone please go ahead and fall in love with Fedgey posthaste? Boys who make mixtapes like this for imaginary girlfriends shouldn’t spend a single minute not getting their, um, hands held. So many lovely lovely sad bastard songs.
theebbandflow asked: Loved the Nada Surf song. Thank you! How do you feel about hockey? The sport. I'm pretty sure there's no band with that name.

Completely hypothetical.
A keeper: any boy that keeps on falling for you even after you pull a piece of ice cream drumstick cone out of your hair while talking to him on facetime. He doesn’t even balk when he’s told that this likely happened when you fell asleep while eating said cone in bed.
Again, completely hypothetical. What kind of girl would do that?

Special delivery.
My dad loved Meagan. Like… loooooved Meagan. He was there on the day she was born and helped me look after her in the first really tough weeks of her life when I got sick and went down for the count with a high fever. His eyes lit up whenever he saw her and he love, love, loved giving her money. He was really good with affection but he had a strange sense of pride about giving her $50 here...

avesilves asked: Dear Angela Black,
I used to read your webcomic LRT, and I really loved it. It always made me smile, even if the jokes weren't that funny (wait just kidding they were always funny). So now I follow your blog, which still makes me smile even without the collaboration with your counterpart.
December 16th (8 days) is my 21st birthday. Now I'm hoping not to go...

WHOMP WHOMP WHOMP
It’s Dubstep Dance Party time once again at Casa Black-Rudevics. I might record the beats coming up from the basement for you because it is an insanity. I am hiding in my room and I am well and thoroughly glad that our house is detached.
I WOULD YELL DOWN TO TELL THEM TO GET OFF MY LAWN BUT THERE’S NO WAY THEY’LL HEAR ME.
