A package arrived on my doorstep this morning with the rest of the mail, and inside I found this cowl. It couldn’t have arrived at a better time, since we are in the middle of a Vancouver-style cold snap. (That means the temperature has a minus in front of it! Like minus ONE! The rest of Canada hates us so much!)
Now, back to the cowl. Isn’t it beeeeyoutiful? The colour is perfect and the wool is so very soft and warm. But my very favourite part about it is that it was made for me by someone very amazing: the one and only Angela! It was a lovely surprise, indeed. I’m going to wear it for as long as I possibly can before the weather starts to turn warmer.
It’s a pretty great thing to have someone make you something great, just because. Thanks, Ange! I lurrrrrrrve it!
This picture makes me so very happy. As soon as I started working on the cowl it said, This is for Sarah. And I said, oh my gord you are right. The style, colour and yarn made me think of her and I think that is just about the neatest thing ever. So, yay. Friendship!
